| The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry provides exciting opportunities for graduate study and research at the cutting edge of modern chemical science. The department is perceived to be among the best in the country. We continue to improve the quality of programs, the caliber of faculty, and the excellence of students by offering state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and research in all areas of chemistry, including the traditional sub-disciplines (biochemistry, inorganic, materials, organic, physical, theoretical). Interdisciplinary collaboration with scientists nationally and internationally as well as with other departments and organized research units on campus is encouraged and supported. |
