Art Studio Graduate Degree Program

Description
The Department of Art offers a two-year,theory-based program designed to prepare students for successful professional careers in the arts, both as practicing artists and educators.The department promotes a cross-disciplinary approach to art production within a broad, cultural studies context. Specialization in a particular medium or curriculum area is not required. Students concentrate on studio and academic work in the areas of Electronic and Digital Art & Theory, Painting & Drawing, Print and Book Arts, Photography, Sculpture and New Forms, as well as Theory and Criticism. An extensive written thesis on the students practice is required.
