Economics Graduate Degree Program
| Description |
| The Department of Economics prepares graduates to compete in the academic, governmental, and private sectors. Students in the Master of Arts (MA) program obtain a strong background in economic theory, knowledge of applied econometrics, and an emphasis in one elective field. Fields include but are not limited to: finance, accounting, and applied econometrics. The Master of Arts with an emphasis in Business Economics (MABE) prepares students for management specialist, analyst, forecaster, and economist roles in industry and government. Ph.D. students complete coursework in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics, and two elective fields of study. Elective fields include: Econometrics, Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Experimental and Behavioral Economics, Finance and Money, Industrial Organization, International Trade and Finance, Labor Economics, Macroeconomic Theory and Policy, Mathematical Economics, and Public Finance. |
