Communication Graduate Degree Program

Description
The Department of Communication is designed to provide a theoretical understanding of the process of human communication. Graduate training is broadly based in the social sciences, with emphases in three primary research areas: interpersonal communication, media communication, and organizational communication. The curriculum provides students with essential preparation in theory construction, analysis, and research methodologies for conducting original scholarship in communication. Doctoral students may add an interdisciplinary focus in human development or quantitative methods in the social sciences.
